A friend of mine, Not My Dissertation. I’ve only recently discovered her blog and I know now it will become part of my online surfing from here on out., has an awesome blog called
One of her recent posts was a video from.
I’ve never heard of thisbut after watching the video Virginia posted, I’m hooked. Check it out.
I couldn’t help but cry when I watched this video. It’s one of the most touching videos I’ve seen in a long time. Danny and Annie really pulled at my heart’s strings. And tugged. And then jerked a bit more.
I think for me this video was so much more than Danny having a terminal illness. Their story was so inspirational because their love for each other was something I haven’t seen or heard from a married couple in a long time.
You hear about husband and wives arguing. You hear of disagreements. You hear of couples sleeping in separate bedrooms. You hear of silent dinners.
You hear of love lost as time strolls on.
But in their story I heard of love found. Love strengthened. And love preserved.
Their story gave me hope, inspiration, and joy. Even though Danny passed away, Annie and Danny shared a love that most only read of in novels. If nothing else, Annie can go to sleep each night knowing that her love with Danny was pure, real, and inspirational.
Thank you, Danny and Annie. I only hope that one day I am half as lucky to find a love so unique and beautiful and to have a man describe our marriage as sublimely as Danny did:
“Being married is like having a colored television set. You never want to go back to black and white.” -Danny
Until next time… -xo Dane
